Office Fitout Flooring
Flooring can mean many things in an office fitout - Carpet, Carpet tiles, Vinyl, Tiles, Epoxy Paint, Polished timber, Lino and Computer floors.
Carpet
There may be a temptation to skimp on this but remember the higher the grade of carpet the longer you’ll be walking on it. Apex Executive Interiors have an extensive carpet range available as well as top quality pre-used carpets. Although Apex Executive Interiors stock all grade quality carpets, we will not supply carpet that we do not consider appropriate for your application.
Carpet Tiles
Tiles really only serve a purpose when you have an access floor of some kind. Don’t be fooled by people who tell you that it is an ideal product because when it gets stained (coffee spill and the like) you can just pull the tile up and replace it. The facts are that it’s about 30% more expensive to start with, if you spill coffee you can get it steam cleaned and if there is a stain that is stubborn standard carpet can also be patched. If you do change with a new tile it will be very noticeable – so just make sure that you have considered all options – tiles can be false economy.
Vinyl
Excellent water proof qualities and available in many colours and with cushion underlay. However, an area of consideration is the different slip ratings. These ratings are very important - be sure you have used the correct product for you office fitout.
Tiles
Can be very elegant and hardwearing or an absolute disaster if not laid properly. Apex Executive Interiors tilers know what the finish will be like before they even begin … perfect.
Epoxy Paint
Great for warehouse floors making for easy clean-ups of spills etc and can really lift the feel of a large area, without the spending of large amounts of money.
Polished Timber
Two main types are polished timber boards or floating floor panel systems which be used to great effect in receptions, displays and foyers. Can add warmth to a room, however, they do have poor acoustic properties.
Lino
Yes that’s the stuff your grandma had in her kitchen with the newspaper underneath - a wonderfully natural product coming in a great range of colours. Not for use in wet areas though.
Computer Floors
[or Raised Floors as they are sometimes known]. Apex Executive Interiors can provide or extend existing systems (provided they meet with BCA - some older systems do not).
